International Association of Theatre for Young Audiences
ASSITEJ International unites theatres, organisations, and individuals throughout the world who make Theatre & Performing Arts for Children & Young People. ASSITEJ International is dedicated to the artistic, cultural, and educational rights of children and young people across the globe and advocates on behalf of all children regardless of nationality, cultural identity, ethnicity, or religion. ASSITEJ International brings people together so that they can share knowledge and practice within the field of Theatre & Performing Arts for Children & Young People in order to deepen understandings, develop practice, create new opportunities, and strengthen the global sector, on behalf of all children everywhere. The members of ASSITEJ International are National Centres, Professional Networks, and Affiliates.

Nishna is the ex-Co-chairperson of the International Inclusive Arts Network, the Secretary of ASSITEJ India, at present and has worked with ASSITEJ International as a freelancer.
In 2024, Nishna was a part of the documentation team at an historic ASSITEJ International event. The 21st ASSITEJ World Congress was held in Havana, Cuba, from 24th May to 1st June 2024. Her contributions include:

International Inclusive Arts Network
In 2022, she worked as the Project Manager for IIAN Making Waves! is one of the 19 partnerships co-funded by Perform Europe and the European Union. The tour is jointly organized by a consortium including International Inclusive Arts Network (IIAN)’s Catch the Wave! festival (Denmark) along with Dansema Dance Theater (Lithuania), Mind the Gap (United Kingdom), Fundacja Teatr 21 (Poland), Teatro 4Garoupas/KAPILAR!unterwegs (Germany), AREAL | space for choreographic development represented by AREAL DANS SRL (Romania), ASSITEJ Cyprus (Cyprus) and Segni D’infanzia Associazione Culturale (Italy).

As part of her MA and later as a board member of IIAN, Nishna fulfilled the role of the Champions Project Lead from 2020 to 2022 and has worked towards putting together the "IIAN World Map of Inclusivity" that features work in the field of disability arts with and for children and young people from around the world
